I hope you are all fully rested after your summer breaks, for those of you that have children I’m not sure if it’s a time of sadness or relief that they have gone back to school but with summer almost behind us what is in store for Autumn?
Conference is a very busy time for most venues in September, October and November and here is no exception with 17 conference rooms it does keep us busy, our conference bookers are all very unique and our Conference Manager Kat has been with us 25 years and knows exactly what her customers old and new require, her young padowan Kim is eager to learn to ensure all our customers get exactly what they want and leave happy.
Our event calendar is coming to a close last week’s comedy night and wedding fayre were a huge success and with upcoming events such as Murder Mysteries all planned and good to go the real focus is on Christmas here at Yew Lodge. Christmas really is something we love because at Yew Lodge we really do have events that are so very different to the next and coordinating the theme of the decorations, ensuring the crackers, poppers & blowers etc.all match and balance with the forecast guests and the entertainment is all booked: from children’s entertainers to DJ’s,photo booths, flowers, balloons, chair covers, 70’s and 80’s trinkets for our very popular boogie nights and great bands, everyone loves a fabulous band. Then there is the food…. our Head Chef has already met with suppliers, placed orders and even spent a fortune on beautiful new banqueting crockery so all their effort can look fabulous as it reaches our customers. Our New York Italian Restaurant by Marco Pierre White is key to the success of Christmas having a high street style restaurant in the comfort of a well-known, 4-star hotel really gives our customers the reassurance that things are going to be perfect for their end of year celebrations. This really is an exciting time and we cannot wait
The wedding season isn’t over and with another dozen weddings before year end we need to ensure these Autumn/Winter Brides and Grooms have a day that the British weather cannot put a dampener on, our wedding coordinator, operational team, chefs and suppliers are all on hand to ensure everything runs perfectly smooth on one of if not THE most important days of your life.
I wish you all a good day as you move into autumn and hopefully a visit to Yew Lodge is on the cards sometime in the next few weeks or months
Until then, best wishes
